Steve Seidel, Ed.D. has been the Director of the Arts in Education program at the Harvard Graduate School of Education since July 2004. He was the Director of Project Zero from 2000 to 2009 and continues there as a member if the Steering Committee and a senior research associate. He was lead principal investigator on The Qualities of Quality: Excellence in Arts Education and How to Achieve It, a study aiming to synthesize what is currently understood about the critical elements of high quality arts teaching and learning and to identify effective strategies for creating those experiences for school-age youth in diverse settings.
Lynn Waldorf is Executive Director of Griffin Center for Inspired Instruction. She is an award-winning researcher and nationally recognized program evaluator, having produced groundbreaking studies in arts education and literacy integration. She was principal investigator for Arts for All: The Vanguard Districts: Case Studies from the First Five Years and more recently serves as principal researcher for the development of arts education indicators of quality, equity and access at the school level for Los Angeles County.
Parking is available at two pay-to-park lots. The lots will require a two block, 5 – 10 minute walk to the high school.

The event is presented in partnership by the Los Angeles County Arts Commission, Central Los Angeles High School #9 and the Arts Education Branch of Los Angeles Unified School District.
The Commission fosters excellence, diversity, vitality, understanding and accessibility of the arts in Los Angeles County. The Commission provides leadership in cultural services for the County, including information and resources for the community, artists, educators, arts organizations and municipalities.
